In this free download you can find the ISE I language requirements in a handy checklist. You can use the checklist to check off the language you have taught and to plan your teaching. It can also be used to check that your students are including the functions and language they need to use in their topics, conversations and writing. Why not ask the students to listen to each other’s topics and check off the language they hear too?

Remember, for the Trinity ISE exams, the grammar is suggested and not prescribed. In other words, the students don’t have to use the grammar on the list, they just have to make sure they are expressing the functions that are required for the level and they may do this by using different grammar from that on the suggested list. However, it’s probably a good idea to make sure the students are aware of and use the language on the suggested grammar list!
